My Story

Hey! I’m Gabby. I was born and raised in Oakland, CA. Growing up, I was surrounded by musicians, fine artists, theater fanatics, and performers.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been creating 2D art for over 30 years. From kindergarten to about older elementary school (5th graders), I was drawing with Crayola markers and crayons. Then, in high school, I discovered graphite pencils and charcoal.

Took a few college classes at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. In 2011, I took a basic drawing class at Bezalel Art University in Israel. I also attended a “free draw” class at Merritt College in Oakland.

Around 2011, I started using watercolor pencils. From 2016 on, I experimented with alcohol-based markers. They were amazingly easy to blend colors with. Most of my art on here are used with these kind of markers too! Then, in the end of 2024, I started exploring the use of acrylic paint. I love it so far… as it’s my free therapy!

Today you can follow my art updates and progression on TikTok and Instagram (includes Timelapses, new art updates, and DM interactions), showcasing/selling my art at pop-up markets, cafes, and art galleries/art shows.
